“Ode to The Rescuers”
Black and gray work all day-and night
Is the life-of the rescuers that are looking
For the many of souls that maybe lost-----we have shed a lot of tears
that have stained the faces of the people that are seperated
from their loved ones and friends
Horrendous sound!!
That rocks the trees and shakes the ground–
a cold black chill ran down each spine!!!
There's been a blast—
downtown many lives have flashed through
Our minds
as each ones that have called their loved ones for one
more time!
many of friends and family
lost, divided and shocked.....
what have we done for this unjust.
Black and gray–are the colors of Death below
the ground the cold ...cold..ground
though vigils kept..the news is bad..
So sad..so sad your men are dead;
and mothers too,children grieving for their lost.
what will happen when Christmas comes ?
'Tis the time for joy and laughter.
but this year none of that will really matter.
Black and gray—work all day is the brave Rescuer's life
over the years' lot of tears-have stained the faces of our families
We have a job to do and we will do it well!!
But there is no feeling on this earth more powerful than Hope
and relief after finding what was lost alive and able..
It has been days since the blast that took our friends
from our grasp..I wish to honor their lives and give some comfort to their wives
Many have lost the friends that they have had over the time that has past
for all of those who we hold dear embrace each other for many more years!!
In memory of the many Friends and Family members who were lost in the explosion And cave in.
We shall keep them in our memories and thoughts. Close to our hearts ...

A different perspective....Little things
When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of
weeds that are going to take over my yard. My kids see flowers
for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.
When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a
smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away.
My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.
When I hear music I love, I know I can't carry a tune and
don't have much rhythm so I sit self-consciously and listen.
My kids feel the beat and move to it They sing out the words. If they
don't know them, they make up their own.
When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I
feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk. My
kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it,
until they fall to the ground laughing.
When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give
me that. My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my
friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want
to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."
When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy
shoes and dirty carpets. My kids sit in it. They see dams to
build, rivers to cross and worms to play with.
I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from?
No wonder God loves the little children!!

look back and realize they were the big things."

The joy is that we can take back our bodies, reclaim our health, and restore ourselves to balance. We can take power over what and how we eat. We can rejuvenate and recharge ourselves, bringing healing to the wounds we carry inside us, and bringing to fuller life the wonderful person that each of us can be.
Every sunrise is the beginning of a new day.
You have been given this day to use as you will.
You can waste it or use it for good.
What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever.
In its place is something that you have left behind...
Let it be something good.
Make every new day count
And have a wonderful day TODAY!
